On September 5, 2018, Prof. Zhang Hongfa from Pingliang Station was honored as an outstanding representative of weather modification in the "National Scientific and Technological Conference for the 60th Anniversary of Weather Modification" held in Xi 'An, ShaanXi Province, and a total of 22 researchers were honored nationwide. The conference was hosted by the Chinese Meteorological Society, the Weather Modification Center of Chinese Meteorological Administration, Key Laboratory of Cloud Physical Environment, CAM, Meteorological Bureau of ShaanXi Province, Weather Modification Council of the Meteorological Society, and the ShaanXi Meteorological Society. More than 200 experts and scholars from local government, universities, research institutes, enterprises and companies attended the conference.
