The annual meeting of fieldwork stations of the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, CAS was held in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia, from September 27 to 28, 2018. The meeting was organized by Naiman Desertification Research Station. Wang Tao, the Director of Northwest Research Institute, Feng Qi, the vice-Director of Northwest Research Institute, Prof. Yang Ping, from the Resource & Environment Division of Science and Technology Development Bureau of Chinese Academy of Sciences, directors from 23 field stations, managers from management and supporting departments of the Northwest Research Institute and more than 70 researchers attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Feng Qi. 

Prof. Yu Ye, the director of Pingliang Land Surface & Severe Weather Research Station, reported the scientific background, research facilities, academic achievements, data sharing, safety measures and future plans of Pinliang Station. All the participants visited the Naiman Desertification Research Station after the meeting.
